Bandera, TX Part 1

We have had a great time here in Bandera. We started out our first night with dinner at the Olde Forge then made our way to the Twin Elm Guest Ranch for their rodeo. It was so much fun to take the kids there, and it was perfect for their ages. We were able to drive and park right there by the fence, bring our own cooler and sit in the back of the car. We got out and walked to the bleachers and got close up.We all loved the start where they paraded through and sang the national anthem. Then the bull riding and barrel racing started. It was the perfect length and we really all had fun! I would definitely go back there! The next day we went to Kerrville to see the Brandt's who just moved there. The kids swam and we caught up on life. We miss them. We made it back to Bandera in time to meet MawMaw and Pop at the river. We floated in the Medina River for around 3 hours. It was lots of fun and the kids loved catching minnows, riding down the rapids and skipping rocks. It was a great place to hang out!Monday we met the Catlins at the Flying L waterpark and spent the whole day there. We love that place and it is great for all of our kids' ages. We were able to let them go on the slides and river and just watch from afar if we wanted. We loved doubling up on the slide and going fast together. It was a great day! Before we left we stopped at the little petting zoo area and fed the goats and ponies some hay. They were fun and of course we had to name them all. Daniel and I were able to have a date night and chose to eat at Brick's then we ended our wild evening at Arkey Blue's Dollar Saloon. It was interesting to say the least!
