Memorial Weekend

We had a wonderfully relaxing Memorial weekend!! I got to take a nap everyday!! We hung out, just our little family, at our house, and out on the lake.. it was great! Because I had been in Texas so often, me and Emma had really been missing out on family time with Daddy! Finally there is nothing to hunt, so we are trying to take advantage of it. We went to Lake Marathon and had a picnic and watched all the other families play. It was a nice day to be outside, not too hot in the shade!

The next day we went to our own Lake Jennie and rode on our little boat with the dogs faithfully following us! Emma got such a kick out of it and didn't even try to get into the water!

I think we are going to get a lifejacket for her, though and soon!! We watched movies and made homemade chocolate cupcakes and icing!!
YUMMY.. a pregnant woman's dream!!

We only have 2 weeks and then on the 6th we are off to Texas again for a wedding, bachelorette party and dr. appt!! Ugh, all that driving makes me sleepy!!
I had my first dream about the baby since I have been pregnant this time.. I dreamed I had her and that same day they let me go home.. I was off to go eat with my brother and left her at a day care! Not such a good mom.. but the funny part was that her hair was really long and blonde, in pigtails, down to her waist! Too random!!

San Antonio with the Listis!

Daniel, Emma and I went to SA this past week. We got to stay on the Riverwalk because Daniel had a conference to attend there! It was a lot of fun. While Daniel was at the conference Emma and I went to the zoo, shopped around and played in the pool!!
It was hot..summer is definitely here! When Daniel was done we went to the Botanical Gardens and the Alamo and to eat with Carrie and Craig! We ate great food each night together and enjoyed the city! The zoo was definitely our favorite.. Emma loved to see the monkeys, the lions and the petting zoo!

The Gardens were awful.. I guess I am not an artsy person.. I didn't enjoy it, but got some good pictures with Emma so that made me happy..

it was soooo hot, I thought Emma's cheeks couldn't get any more red! We are so lucky to be able to have a family vacation while Daniel still gets to work some!

Happy Mother's Days!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day! It was filled with lots of love, good food, great weather and even a nap! The only thing missing was my husband! That is the part that makes it so hard to come and visit here.. Daniel hardly ever gets to hang out with us.. I kindof feel like I am back in highschool, pregnant with a 1 year old! That is just pitiful!
I am ready to move back to Texas.. this last long visit has made that even more apparent! I want my family to be here, so I can come stay for a short time and then go home to be with my husband in our home! I am getting stressed just thinking about the next few months before baby girl is here and I have to drive back for those bimonthly doctor appointments.. AHH, makes me tired just thinking about it!

Enough about that, Carrie's and Tim's showers were fun! Lots of yummy food and I always love to see people I hadn't seen in a long while! This weekend is Autumn's baby shower, and Daniel is coming to town!!! YEAH!!!! He will be here Friday!! I am so excited and I can't wait to see the look on Emma's face.. she hears his voice on the phone and just smiles so sweetly! Of course, she only says Dada when she is pretending to talk to him, she just can't seem to get anything out when he is really talking to her! I love that.. he wants her to talk so bad, but I know before we can blink she will be talking our ears off! It all goes by too fast!

In other news, Blake bit Emma on the nose.. she had 3 teeth marks.. it was so sad, but she survived and I am hoping she will not want to bite others! We have been to the parks, played in sprinklers, eaten icecream, seen a movie! Too much fun!

We went to Aerofit gym. I took her to the nursery.. so far I have been able to work out for an hour before she wasn't happy, then 40 minutes when they came to get me, then only 25 minutes before they brought her out to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we haven't been back. I know, I gave up too easily, but that is a bummer to just be getting started then have to pack up and leave because she is crying! I may try again this week, but not sure.. it just reaffirms that she needs to be in a nursery setting or something every once in a while at this age.. I think it would really do her some good to be around someone that she doesn't really know, even for a few hours a week!

I would have some pictures but my parent's computer won't let me upload, so we will have to wait! I will leave you with some old ones, I guess?!

Last year, Mother's Day!! Look at her hair!!
