Perks!

Now that we are in SA and Daniel has his new job..he is loving it..it is so his personality..he has been really busy lately having fun and I got to join him on this fun recently! I don't know if I ever mentioned but Daniel works right downtown on the Riverwalk at Baptist Hospital..Talk about some great perks!
We got to attend one of the River Parades during Fiesta last week. Not only did we get to enjoy dinner and drinks at the Tejas Bar on the Riverwalk, but we got to watch the parade and catch cascarones and beads that were thrown!
This week we are heading to cheer on the Spurs during the playoffs against the Mavs! I have never been to a pro b-ball game before, so I am excited!!

The girls and I attended 2 play groups last week at Chick-Fil-A and this week are going to Brackenridge with a whole mess of MOPS friends..I finally feeling like I am meeting some new people. We also went to Barnes & Noble storytime and met more kiddos and made a date to get together!!

Emma enjoying our new pool..many memories to come!! The slide was well worth the extra $10!!

The Harms came to see the house and the girls on their way home from the wedding...Kylie (5 weeks younger than Emma), Kayden (4.5), Emma & Georgia

Pleasanton wedding

We got to attend another wedding this weekend..without the girls!! YEA!! so no fun tantrum stories..but we did have a blast...Carrie, Pepper and I laid out by the pool and got really sunburned..Dustin and Meaghan had a nice ceremony and we danced..a lot! I am not a big dancer, but I guess that is what liquid courage is for! They had plenty of that there for sure! Carrie will be sending me pics soon.

We really appreciate Grandma and Grandpa Gee (Daniel's parents) for watching the girls and Happy Birthday to Sherry!
Right before they got here on Thursday, Emma was supposed to be napping and I hear this loud banging..I figure she was just kicking her wall as her bed is pushed up next to it...I needed her to nap so I could finish cleaning up before my inlaws arrived...so I left her..
Well, I go in later, and she has her letter "I" in her hand swinging it by the ribbon. Then she flings it on the floor and squeals in delight! All of her 8 letters and their tacks were now tangled in her bed, in her rug..lost! It took me a while but I finally found them all and their tacks, most importantly!! I did have to accidently step on the last tack to find it, though. OUCH! Now I don't know what to do with the letters?!?

All in all, it was a much needed break and now I am ready for a busy week of MOPS, playgroup and some SPURS b-ball!!
Off to make up for my lost sleep last night..I am not used to staying up til 3 am!

Tantrum at Hicks Ranch

This past weekend we headed out to Bandera, TX to the Hicks ranch for Laurel and Jason Blue's wedding..It was a blast..one of the best weddings I have been to! The weather turned out beautiful and made being outside wonderful. They also had the choreographed first dance and father/daughter dance..It was hilarious and awesome..I always said I wanted to go to a wedding that did that..where they start off with a sappy slow dance, then the music scratches and it goes into hip hop dance!! FUN!! I wish I had enough guts and rhythm to do that!! Anyways...We stayed at a cabin overlooking the river...Emma and Georgia loved it!
The rehearsal dinner was at this neat farm. Everyone had boots on..except me and Georgia. Emma made fast friends with the other kids and loved running in circles, blowing bubbles, and getting eachother in trouble.
During the ceremony, Emma had a melt down, her 1st real tantrum..it lasted through the entire ceremony..ended with a spanking in the car and being strapped in her seat for a long quiet time!
We had to cross a bridge to get to the ceremony area..when Emma decided to freak out because I wouldn't let her walk around like she wanted..we didn't even walk over the bridge to high-tail it to the car, we just tromped through the dry river bed. She has had tantrums before, but nothing even close to this..she usual will cry or throw herself down, get a spanking or time out and then is over it..not this time!! It was ugly and embarrassing..I was irrate and let her know it!
We ended the night with lots of dancing and fun, though and stayed with the girls until it ended at midnight!! The lack of pics is because of the tantrum. :(Did I mention Georgia is at the "can we get some crackers for the baby" stage at restaurants!!! YEA!!!

Cheerios, spaghetti & pancakes

OH MY!!
Georgia is now eating these things..she is trying new ones but I am having a hard time remembering what is good at this in-between stage..
this pic of Emma goes with the quote on the right side bar under listi-isms...
an old shot of the girls in their St. Patty's day attire
G's cute little bottom at 7 months
This weekend we are off to Bandera for the Catlin wedding at their ranch!.. it will be outdoors and we are staying in a cabin with the girls and my parents!
Did I mention we went to the Poteet Strawberry Festival a few weekends back??..I forgot my camera..it was ok, but the most disappointing things were that the "strawberry icecream" was from HEB..the "strawberry wine" was disgusting and the only ride that Emma wanted to do, she was too small for! Anyways, it was good to go and a nice sunny day..we did see the amazing dog tricks show from Animal Planet!!

getting ready for Easter..matching shirts & any hair accessories courtesy of Aunt Nannine (Daniel's aunt)
2 of a kind-jumping queens!
Sea World visit-"forced fun" as Daddy puts it!
day at the mall..she was countless times asked, "Did you see the Easter Bunny?", and would reply "NO" with her classic scared look..I will get a pic of it..all I need is a bug or loud noise..

It's the Bs knees

Birthday- Happy 2nd Birthday to Lauren & Blake..we love you and had fun at the party and hanging out too!

Bluebonnets- beautiful weather and beautiful subjects..easy, right?!

Babies- taking Georgia to meet cousin Grey for the 1st time..those babies were so much fun..I can't wait til they are older and they can play together!
Big Kids- the duck, Stephanie with Emma, Tai, Reese & Karson
Buddies- Emma and Georgia are so sweet together, though we do have our "moments" of not so sweetness..like taking things from G, biting her toe, pushing her over...NICE. But really, most of the time they are great buddies who love eachother-just look at this..

*So as soon as we left Sea World I noticed I was "leaking" all over my shirt...I was too hungry to care and just threw a blanket over my shoulder and went to Rudy's.
Daniel, being the great husband and father, offered to get the diaper bag ready..we get to the restaurant and G needs a bottle...he goes to get it..it has no nipple!
Nice...sometimes life is a B!

Georgia's Randomness

6 month stats: 18lbs. 11oz.- 75th %; 27 in.- 85th % She did wonderful at the dr. and quickly stopped crying when I picked her up after her shots!!
She is one of the happiest babies I have met, and loves to flash her big, slobbery, toothless smile!

She has so many chubby rolls on her arms, I think they are going to pop off!

She laughs and giggles and bounces when she sees Emma or her dogs come near.

She loves to swing and play outside. That will make her happy most any time!
She definitely prefers Mommy..which I love, most of the time.

She surprises me with how well she sits up and grabs at things since she recently started.

She loves doggie kisses and reaches to grab when she can.
She has not been sick since she was born. Praise the Lord!

She can drink from her sippy cup pretty well and gets so excited when she sees it.

She met her cousin Grey for the 1st time and they were so cute together!
She prefers veggies over fruit in baby food so far and tries to grab the spoon from me.

She goes to sleep at 8:30 and usually won't cry or only for a few minutes.

She loves to be danced with and to bounce.

She loves the song "My Little Buttercup" that Daddy sings to her. It always brings big smiles and squeals!

She is mesmerized and instantly happy when I do "Open, close them, open, close them..1, 2, 3, 4, 5." with my hands, not sure why, but she loves it!! I do too!!

She is affectionately referred to as "my bitty bitty" or "chub chub" or "sissy" by me.

She is 6 months old and melts my heart and makes my morning, noon & night! She is cuddly and I know too soon will be running next to Emma..so I am holding on, tight.. eventhough I am told by many, "she's a big girl, don't carry her too much"! Sorry folks, you only get one chance..I can't decide in 4 years I want my baby back!

Emmaline's Randomness

2 yr. stats: 29lbs.-75th %; 34.6 in.- 75th %. The dr. said she will probably be around 5'6", but I heard you double the height at 2, so that would be like 5'8"?.She is afraid of cats and loud-noised vehicles, planes, "Big Twuck", etc.

She always wants to take a bath, but only if "Georgia take bath too?"

She calls her blankets "Bs" and will cry if she gets in trouble or embarrassed or feels bad and proclaims "I want my Bs!"

She kisses everyone "night night", including random guests over at our house, the dogs and her babies.
She calls every color "bwue"

She has been told my many she takes after my mom, Mawmaw, Vicki.

She now tells me where she wants to go every morning. "Go to the park" is the usual response.
She likes school and her friends and the teachers claim "she is so sweet, minds well and did wonderful."

She has this LOOK, puts her head down, pouts and looks up with just her BIG gray/green eyes, usually through her hair and long eyelashes...and blinks repetitively until she gets her way or you ignore her. It is SO hard not to laugh at this..the teenage years are going be rough!!
She is a really messy eater and had regressed since Georgia's arrival..she can use her utensils really well, right-handed mostly, but prefers to scoop with her fingers and shovel in her mouth and then squish her fingers together. Thank God for dogs!!

She loves music, dancing and singing. Her current favorite songs are "I see the moon and the moon sees me, God bless the moon and God bless me." - not really a song but we sing it and then we insert everyone's name in and do it like 15 times!! She likes to do the motions and sing "Row, row, row your boat"..ending with "Splash!" Hopefully she got her dancing genes from Daniel and not me! :)

She sticks her fingers in her mouth when she gets shy.

She can find water anywhere, in your house, backyard, the park...she loves it..to drink, splash, knock over..you name it!! She drinks the bath water.
She doesn't want to leave anyone else out...she will say, "Momma too?, Dadda too?, Georgia too?"

She does this little shimmy shake when she gets excited about something..food, presents, playing or seeing someone she knows..It starts at her shoulders and works its way to her toes and her head! I have got to get these things on video before they are gone never to be seen again!!

She is 2 years old and full of life and love and tenderness..she is such a blessing!
