Yes Ma'am, Momma!

This is one of the many new words my little baby, almost 2 year old angel is saying these days. I have been trying to get her to learn some manners and it all of a sudden is paying off. I thought it was "in one ear, out the other", but apparently she is listening! Oops, better watch myself a little more closely!
She says Yes, ma'am! yes, sir!(sometimes), thank you, please, sorry..and of course, she is saying lots of other things and sentences, but these are the main manners..
She also likes to pretend she bumped her head and then wants me to dote over her and kiss it! And Georgia bumps hers all of the time too! So cute and she is extremely sweet!!! These last few days have been sooo sweet and I don't want them to end..we have been having so much fun and it is like she has finally come out of her shell..she is still shy at first, but comes out of it so much quicker..the one day in the nursery without me was great for her, I guess.
We are in CS, about to close on our house, and spending all our days with friends and family..jam packed! We went to lunch with Kristi and her kids..the girls were high-5-ing eachother..really cute! Then to the library, park, lunch with Allison and twins, then back to park after the lunch with them the same day!! Played ball, on the swings, hung on the jungle gym, played in the rocks! Too fun..and Allison tells it all about our crazy lunch on her blog - Lauren & Blake.. hilarious!!!
Saw Autumn, Justin & Hoyt last night, Emma was sweet, Georgia is teething and night time is not good for her.. once she gets going..it is all over with!
Today we partied with Sammie, Taylor & Hayley..went to the Bounce, Toys R Us, & CiCis..too much fun..Emma actually LOVED the Bounce this time, and ate too much.. The girls are going to grow up and have so much fun together.. There is 9 months between each of the younger ones!
Whew, we are busy and tomorrow is GNO - YEA!!
Georgia was scaring me a little with her lack of doing a lot, but is starting to "grow up" and holding things more, food, sippy cup and bottle. I just hope her teeth come soon..she literally is perfect all during the day - so cherub like with her rosy chubby cheeks! I love it!
Oh, yeah, we got a season pass to the SA Zoo, so come on and let's get wild!! I love having so much to do!!

Happy Valentines Day

We celebrated as a family by playing at the SA Rodeo, eating a corndog and beef sundae, petting lots of animals, riding our first carousel..

"Here, Moo.." - Emma trying to feed the cow some hay! So sweet and she was in heaven with all those familiar faces around her!!
Hope your day was as just as sweet and full of love!!

How can 5 months go so fast?

My little baby girl is 5 months old today. Where does the time go? How does she change so fast? She barely resembles the baby that was born just a little while ago.
Today, she is jumping and squealing and smiling like a big girl. Her hair is so different than it was 5 months ago..it is really blonde, more than Emma's, and is finally growing back nicely. We get "compliments" on her cheeks and their squeezability everywhere we go. She likes to roll over, she found her feet and loves to play with her toes, she is finally out of a bassinet..I know we kept her there too long. She is eating some baby food, loves the banana peach, but really just prefers to nurse.. She used to sleep through the night, but now wakes up anywhere from 3-4 in the morning and stays with us in the bed til morning. I know it's not a good habit but it is so much easier. We plan on getting "tough" on her after we move in our new house. My favorite time of the day is usually around 9 in the morning (when she wakes up) and I bring Emma in to our room and the sisters get so excited to see eachother, there are always lots of smiles and laughter and kisses and hugs. I will always relish and wish for these days!!
Still no teeth, but really eating her fingers.. and is fussy in the evenings.
She is now swinging in a baby swing.. and loves it!!
I count my blessings everyday and love to be able to stay at home with my girls!
Now Happy Valentines Day to me.. Daniel is going to watch the girls while I go to a movie with Carrie! YEA!!
Also, we attended our first MOPS meeting here in SA.. it was awesome.. super nice girls, and Emma did wonderful her 1st time away in a nursery! I was on cloud 9 the entire day..G did good too, but I wasn't so concerned for her. We can't wait to go back and are currently trying to figure out which MDO to put Emma in for the Fall!

"No, my stick"

Emma has been enjoying all the beautiful weather we have been having..we spend most of the day outside, either at the park or in our backyard. Emma loves her puppy dogs.. she loves to pretend that she is one of them. She plays in their kennels, drinks out of their water bowl, eats their food, and lately she is chewing on sticks with them. She runs around with it in her mouth, steals it from them and squeals, "No, my stick!"

I remember asking my mom or dad, "why would you let me do that?", about something strange or gross I did as a child, but now I understand.. sometimes it just isn't worth the fight. As long as it isn't dangerous to her, I try not to make a fuss..most of the time!!

YEEHAW!! Let's Rodeo..

That's right, Daniel and I are heading to the rodeo, which just opened in SA, to see Gary Allen and all the other awesome things they have..and we have a babysitter!!
Just who did we con in to watching our little angels???
The angels who have never been watched or left with anyone other than grandparents..
the answer might surprise you..even shock those of you who know this person..
so I will leave you hanging and fill you all in later, with a full report..
I don't know who should be more scared..us or them??

I am a little nervous, but oh so desperate for a night out and I just couldn't resist Gary Allen!!

DUSTIN EVANS..a friend of mine from highschool...watched the girls and then his fiancee, Meaghan, joined in to help after work.. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!
It was a blast and we loved hanging out with Carrie and Craig!!

Emma's 1st Haircut

Emma got her 1st haircut today..it was an unforgettable experience..it all started when I noticed how uneven her hair was in the back, all the crazy strands from almost 2 years of sporadic growth..so I decided it was time..I like to save money, especially on hair cuts, so I thought I would do it myself..well, we don't even have a pair of scissors in our rent house, so I nixed that idea really quickly..

Searched the internet and found a cool place with cool chairs for kids..Sharkeys!
We show up and I have been preparing her for the big cut..she seemed excited with her "Neah" which means, Yeah, in her language..so I kept fingers crossed. We go in and it is so neat..a little girls' paradise with so many tiny and shiny items to grab at!! So Emma starts unloading goodies into Georgia's carseat carrier..Great!!

Finally, it was her turn, she is still happy at this point...
Until the pretty lady says her name and I pick her up.. she immediately knows that something is about to go down..she screams and the tears start coming!
We set her in the Jeep with Dora on the screen, I even get out the candy hearts right away!! This girl was not going down without a fight! She is clinging to me for dear life.. she is strong with those little legs of steel.
Finally, I battle her into the Jeep and try to get her to drive it and eat her candy..she is so upset she is shoving the candy at the lady..WOW..that has never happened before.

So through the tears and snot and tangles, she gets her hair trimmed and looks like a big girl even more now. She finally gets over it after she is free from the Jeep. During the whole cutting experience I even go pick out some sparkly bracelets thinking that would make her happy..NO..but she wants them as soon as we are done...
So I give in and we buy 3 items for $10..I am pitiful, I know.
The lady was nice enough to save some hair for me, I would have not remembered to do that in the moment, but so happy to have for her babybook!
So $30 and 30 minutes later we are out the door. I spent more on her hair cut than I do on my own! SAD..but the 10th one is free!! :)
In other news, Dixie, my 9 year old chocolate lab, got really sick this past week..we had to take her to a vet here in SA and she was "hospitalized" for pancreatitis..so another pretty penny and 3 days later she is back home and doing better! I have to give her this antidiarrheal med that is so nasty and looks like what it is supposed to cure..gross!

We are loving it here in SA and enjoying the weather too.. We went to an awesome restaurant on Saturday with Carrie and some friends..it has this outdoor kids play area and it serves alcohol..me and Daniel said we forsee many weekends spent there!! And it is really close to our NEW HOUSE!!! Yes, that is right, we are moving to our new house in about 3 weeks.. so excited..love the neighborhood and area. We spend most of our days checking out the things nearby..parks, schools, libraries, MDO and shopping.so I rewarded her with going to the park..what am I thinking??
