New vocab. and 7 months pregnant

At 15 months, Emma has been doing a lot of new things lately..she uses her fork to eat almost everything or tries. She is good with bananas and veggies and meat. She is also "talking" a lot. She does these hilarious noises with her mouth just trying so hard to tell us all about it.
She has increased her vocabulary:
nose - and then points to hers or someone elses
hot - all food is "hot" and then she blows on it
ball - she is good at recognizing them and throws them for the dogs
two - when we were counting
night-night - on her way to bed that is what we say everytime
She loves to dance to most any music.
She has gotten really into her baby dolls. She loves to feed them, give them a pacifier, carry them around, dress them, and sing to them.. it is really sweet to hear her "sing" to them. I can't wait to hear what all she has to say!
Emma is really into trying to dress herself and to put her shoes on herself and us. She loves shoes and accessories and wearing them around the house.
When Emma saw Daddy for the first time in a while they were playing and she was saying all her new words. He was pointing at me so she would say "Mommy" and she ran over to me and pointed at my belly and said "ball". It was so funny. It was one of those innocent moments and all I could do was laugh.

So in the spirit of my "ball", here are some pics of me at 7 months pregnant! WOW!

Father's Day weekend

For Father's Day we gave my dad some Esperanza flowers. So we spent the day helping him plant them and then we had a great dinner.
We also spent a lot of time on the deck with the pool or waterhose. Emma loves to play "puppy". She acts like our dogs: she crawls, puts a leash around her neck, drinks out of the water bowls, gets in the kennel and closes the door and even eats the dog food. She loves them. It is good, but she is still having trouble with grabbing them so tightly. I think she just gets too excited when she sees them and wants to love on them. Any dogs get the most hugs and kisses from her, not people. She sticks her mouth up to them and waits for the big wet tongue! It is all kindof gross but I figure harmless and I don't want to try and stop her!!

Emma likes to bite her toes, it is something that I used to do!

Lake Travis vacation

We had a great time at Carrie's bachelorette party. The weather was decent and it was nice to have a break from the daily routine of mommyhood. I enjoyed not having to worry about naptime, diapers, cleaning and whining. I do believe the break was great and much needed for me and Emma. We got to eat and party at Carlos N Charlies and lounge around on the lake. There were lots of girls there and lots of catching up and partying. I can't say I loved being there pregnant, but it was ok. We did talk about getting together annually to do something with just the girls.. I love that idea and hope it does happen!

She got to spend the weekend with Grandma Gee (Daniel's mom) in Kingwood. They swam, shopped, and got her 15 month pictures taken.. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I don't really love getting her professional pictures taken.. it is always stressful and you never know how she is going to be that particular day. I will try and upload them soon.
We also got to spend some time with some great friends while we were in CS.
Emma and baby Sammie..born Feb. 28th...so cute and Emma was suprisingly sweet.

Playgroup fun at the park.. It was so HOT that day!

Maw-maw (Erica's mom), Emma, Bev and Kane
a visit from baby Kane, Ashley and grandma Bev was a lot of fun, but Emma had a really hard time sharing her toys :{

We went to the Starlight Music Series at Wolf Pen.. it's free and something different and Emma loves music and dancing.. so it worked out good. Brett Tyler got to go too, so the cousins got some time to play!

Eating watermelon and loving it!!!

The Mayfield's Wedding

We had a wonderful time at my cousin's wedding. We got to stay at a nice hotel in Dallas for a few days and got to see all of my mom's side of the family. It was a lot of fun.. we got a lot of random pics, but none of what I wanted, like our family together... oh well.. it was a success and the wedding was beautiful! Daniel and I were both in the wedding, so my parents were nice enough to watch Emma. She did great and had a blast. She even danced til 10:30!! She also loved to play on the big comfy beds with all the pillows!

Daniel had already changed out of his tux, I swear...

After that, we moved hotels just down the road to Grapevine, where Daniel had a work conference.. Emma and I were able to swim and meet up with Uncle Toodge, and we spent the majority of our time with my good friend Amy and her daughter Avery, who is 6 months older than Emma. It was so fun to see them interact and play. They were really sweet and I loved having someone to hang out with during the day while Daddy was "at work".

The Cornetts, Mike, Amy & Avery, and us..

She loved Daddy's toothpick!!
We also went to see this really cool place down the road from our hotel called Great Wolf Lodge. It is a huge hotel that has an indoor/outdoor water park. The entire hotel is made for kids and has games and treasure hunts throughout.. they even have nail salons and icecream shops. We just checked it out, but it looked so cool! Emma was really in awe of it. I can't wait to take her!

I am worn out to say the least, but Emma did considerably well in a hotel room for 5 nights! I am so not sleep deprived right now and am scared to see what happens in 3 months...

Random thoughts through boredom

We are heading back to Texas again, and this time for my cousin's wedding in Dallas. Then to CS for my long awaited dr. visit and for Carrie's bachelorette party in Austin! I will hopefully be home before July. I am tired of this driving business. I am sort of bummed because I am missing my 10 year highschool reunion back home. I wasn't that big on going but now that it is closer I kindof want to see people and am jealous of everyone talking about it. I hope there are some pictures out there of everyone. I do still keep in contact with a lot of people from our class so that is nice; I just never liked to miss out on a party!

So now I am going to complain: On a regular basis I talk about how bored I am.. nothing to do, lonely during the days when Daniel is at work.. etc.
He says, what do you want to do?
Well hell, like I hadn't even thought about it or something.. and like there are a lot of options.
When you are 6 months pregnant in the heat of summer and live in the middle of nowhere.. your options are limited.. go outside and walk the land, ride the 6-wheeler, ride on the john-boat, go to Wal-mart.. go ahead and laugh.. I do, and then feel like crying!
Seriously, and Wal-mart is when you feel like driving for 20 min. The Piggly Wiggly is where you go when you only need a few items.. laugh again..
I decided we should have our family friends over for a BBQ for fun!! I was excited to have some human interaction, other than Emma and Daniel!!
So I had already made the trek to Wally World (as it is known here) that week and didn't feel like going back, so for my "few items" I went to the Piggly while Daniel watched Emma. Well, I get there and they have no fresh green beans, few jalapenos and no Fritos.. WHAT?!!! I really almost started crying.. but I didn't want anyone to talk to me so I held it in.
Anyways, the BBQ was fun despite the rain and despite the fact that Daniel has to put me down in front of all the people there saying that I don't "work" anymore and just hang out!! That was our weekend.. needless to say, I am ready to get back to Texas to be able to have somewhere to go and people to see during the day!!

So my question to you is, does your husband ever say anything that makes you feel like what you are doing at home is not enough?? He claims he doesn't want me to work, but to be at home with our family, but he is not showing that in how he talks and acts sometimes?? I don't want him to be disappointed or to really want me to work when he says something different?? Confused and it did hurt my feelings.

I will leave you with some pics of me pregnant now and then with Emma at the same time!
