"Where's my bed?"

My parents came and brought us the rest of our new furniture..It is so exciting and nice. I feel like a real grown, married couple now.. We have a king-size bed with matching furniture and a new comforter. I love it!!
Emma also got her big girl bed and furniture. It is so princess-like, we got a full sized trundle sleigh bed in off white! I don't know if she is ready for a big bed but she seems excited about it! We have been talking about it for a while now, but I am not sure I am ready for her to be able to get out on her own. The other day I found her on our guest bed with her blankies and when asked what she was doing.. "I'm taking a nap. I want to go to sleep." Well ok, you don't have to tell me twice!!
My dad forgot to put a mattress on the truck for Emma's room. It was so sad..
She would say, with her arms out and her head titled, "Where's my bed?" Then she would run to her room and come back sad. So hopefully we will get it soon and we can try her out in it! I think I am ready for this next stage of independence. I really think it will be so sweet when her and Georgia can share a room, a bed, whatever they want!
Emma slept in her bed for the 1st time last night!! It went wonderfully.. She stayed in her bed and room until I heard her talking around 8:30 this morning. She is napping now and seems to really like her big girl bed! I love it too, though I am still searching for the right bedspread! She did great during her naptime too!

So I have heard things come in 3s! I am waiting for the 3rd one to drop, so to speak. In the last 2 weeks, my car has had some issues..first, this guy sideswiped me coming off the highway, his dinky car was damaged, luckily not mine and was not my fault, but what a scare and a pain..the girls were fine too!
Then, today I went to the mall to let Emma play while it was supposed to rain..my car got broken into. Driver window broke all over the inside, GPS stolen..but not my DVD players, weird, huh?!..I guess they were in a hurry. So that was even more of a pain and mess! But to be positive, it didn't rain and we made it home before any of the girls had a meltdown!
So what is next?? Bring it on BIG CITY!!

*Emma actually says things with a fake Italian accent..."That's-A-my ..." or "Where's-A-my bed?" Today at the mall playplace a kid got within a foot of me and Emma ran over to me and jumped on the seat and said very loudly, "No, that's-A-my Momma!" Too funny!*

Busy bees

So we have been busy.. and Emma is scared of bugs..bees, beetles, ants, spiders..so funny..kindof..it is kindof annoying but cute at the same time. She is talking so much and we can understand her good and think she is really well spoken for a new 2 year old. our pretty roses
The sweetest thing Emma says lately is "Sorry, Momma, sorry." If she does something wrong or not even, I guess if she just feels like she should say it. It is so pitifully cute. She is really into "mine" or "this is my ..."
She is really good at puzzles and shape sorters, but prefers to be outside in the sandbox or water. she picked up my garden gloves and used them to cook with.. "It's very hot." then she blew on it!my parents came in and dropped off our new furniture and Emma's b-day gifts!
Emma also can't see a park without giving out a loud squeal of excitement..and then a whine if we pass by without playing.Sometimes she is so brave, too brave and others she won't even go down the shortest slide??!We went to New Braunfels to meet up with my old teaching partner, Dalena..she is newly pregnant!
beautiful day at Landa Park, clear water, natural springs, a picnic with Sadie dog, & feeding ducks - too fun!
Georgia is sitting up, teething, and mostly happy when she is not complaining that she isn't.. she loves to bounce and yell at her sister too. She is so chubby but not as much as she looks. She will be sleeping all night in her crib soon..til 5 a.m. right now.. but goes to sleep with her sister at 8-ish..she will sleep in - on and off - til 9 a.m. and later but she is kicking me a lot lately, so I am going to have to get tough and kick her out!Granddad came in to see the girls on St. Patty's Day..Emma loves to sit on his lap and read books or watch a show!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Don't worry we (Daniel & I) did get to have some green beer already!!
We did take the dogs to the local dog park..Daniel was really nervous about letting the dogs go and mingle with the other ones, but they did great! Dixie just kindof trotted by the me and girls, while Gauge and Daniel played fetch..he would not let the ball go..it was a blast and we will go back soon!Georgia is sitting up pretty well now and had her 1st ride in a shopping cart without her carseat!! BIG GIRL!!

She found the bumbo in a closet, brought it to the kitchen and climbed on top of the table and joined Georgia for her breakfast!
These are the penguins Emma loves, she wants to pose with them constantly and pushes them around in her stroller all day!! I am sure they won't be around for long as they are ceramic!

Tomorrow we go for Emma's 2 year pics.. wish us luck as she tilts her head to the left and does this fake thing with her mouth whenever I say "smile"! MEMORIES..

Emma is 2!!

Today, we woke up with so much excitement in our house!! Our little girl is 2 years old. I had made the executive decision last night that we would go to Sea World. I have been dying to go and take Emma & Georgia. We got season passes and headed out early this morning, but not before we sang "Happy Birthday", of course! Emma actually knew it was her birthday, when I would ask her, she would say, "my birthday" or "me". She would also say, "2", which sounds like "3"..so not sure about that.
We had a great day and saw 3 shows and lots of other sea creatures! They also had a special song and dance show with Sesame Street. Emma loved it and was dancing in the aisle! I think our favorite was the dolphins, because she cried when I made her leave the area..Georgia did great, took a nap and just looked around smiling. It was sure a success considering it was just me and the girls. We are finishing the day off with dinner at OG, blowing out the candles on an "E" cake I made & presents!

Emma,
We are so proud of you and all you have accomplished in these past 2 years. You are always smiling and full of life and love to others! I love your butterfly kisses you give me and your excitement you show when you see a park or a dog! Thank you for making my dreams come true and being my angel baby!
I love you!
Momma

In other news, Georgia will be 6 months in 2 days. Oh, how the time flies. She is so chubby and sweet. She loves her big sister and her doggie kisses. She can sit up now, with the occasional tumble, which sends Emma into a laughing fit. She is eating lots of babyfood and baby crackers and using a sippy cup pretty ok, too!

New Home, New Blog Title??

So we have a new house in a new state, so we need to change our blog name!!!
PLEASE HELP..any suggestions????
Finally, we are settled in, I guess.. as much as you can be..but really most of the boxes have been emptied and the closets filled. I love it. We have a play room - FUN! We have a huge closet - AWESOME! We have bedrooms for our girls AND a guest room - USEFUL! So, I haven't taken any pics of the house yet, but promise to really soon..I couldn't find the camera for the first 3 days of moving. **UPDATED**
Here is a quick list of things we have now that we didn't have in MS:
1) dishwasher - I have a hard time even using it..weird..
2) ice machine - I am in heaven - love and have to have ice in my water!
3) closets - that's where all of our crap goes
4) oversized shower - I can actually bend over in the shower to shave my legs!
5) disposal - yea, no more digging yucky, slimy food out of the sink drain!
6) king-size bed - imagine being pregnant for 75% of our time in MS, all the while sharing a double bed..not so much room!
This is the 1st time in 3 years that we have had all of our belongings in the same place..they were spread out over 2 states, in storage..getting to reopen our wedding gifts again - MORE FUN!
So, we love it! We have a park and library within a mile of the house, among a lot of other things, like Target - too exciting! Lots of plans to walk and maybe run to get in some form of shape!
Also, we have great neighbors..for example, we have received flowers, dinner, muffins, & brownies to name a few! We hope to find a babysitter, besides Dustin, soon!
OH, and can you believe my Emmaline Jade will be 2 in less than 2 weeks??? AHHHH, sadness..Oh, but some gladness too..Georgia is now going to bed when Emma does at 8:30 or so and stays asleep til around 5, which is great and is getting into more of a napping schedule too!
Any new blog title suggestions..the only one I could come up with was Sleepless in San Antonio - Daniel didn't like it, but I am not hearing many from him..so what you got??!!!!!!!!!!!!!
