end of summer happenings..

So our summer ended and I kindof got swept away in the hustle of a new school year that I didn't finish writing about what we did to finish it off..and now I can't remember. So, I am going to add pictures and see if that jogs my memory! We swam at night!
Hayes loves to swim..he puts on his swimsuit every morning (just in case) and he also loves stickers and put them all over his body!Sidney went swimming naked..a few times! While the rolls are still cute, she should flaunt it!her little wrinkled toes were too cute! She does love the water and it relaxes her so much!Sidney also is playing the piano some these days..she gets into it!The kids were covered in these "washable paint pens" and when they didn't wash off so easily, we went outside, played in the sprinklers and made it even more messy and fun!Hayes is a blur...hey, it's real life! And they were wearing their matching t's from Aunt Nat!The kids played with chalk and made pictures around the pool - a big hit, who knew!?!We attended a few birthday parties and ate some amazing cake.We always enjoy watching Disney Junior, especially when the naps are nonexistent!..Hayes' favorite is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (and asks for that as much as he asks to swim) and the girls love Sofia and Minnie's Bowtique!some family time in Mom and Dad's bed..minus baby girl!
We took advantage of those lazy mornings under the covers snuggling! We went to a few of the fun Vacation Bible Schools around town!!And even more birthday parties, where G rode a pony for the 1st time!We finally blew up our new floats, one being the bump'n'squirt! We visited and came home with goodies from the Dollar Store! Georgia put on some entertaining performances with her baton! We prayed for rain and finally got it! And then we danced and sang in it!We managed to completely mess up our kids' sleep habits..but hey, you only can lay in a twin bed sideways and actual sleep a full night's sleep for so long, right...whatever floats your boat as long as you don't wake Mama Bear! And we went on some fun walks, sometimes bike riding was included and sometimes we had some shadows following us! It was a fun summer, a hot one, but we were blessed to have so many fun options to keep us cool and happy!
