Birthday celebrations & 4 mo. stats

Today is a special day..
Not only is it my nephew's 11th birthday, but it is the BIRTHday of my cousin's 1st baby.
Brett Tyler is 11 today and he is something else.. he is so outspoken for his age. It is weird because when I was shopping for his present, I kept looking at things for 6 year olds, clothes, toys, etc... that doesn't work anymore for this IPOD and texting young man..crazy how time flies!! We got him a trip this summer to SA to go to Sea World, Riverwalk, or Schlitterbahn with our family! Can't wait!! We love you BT!! Grey Harvey is my cousin, Daniel and Kendra's 1st baby boy!! I am so excited for them and wish we lived in the same city, as we love to hang out. Welcome to the world of parenthood..it's amazing!! Can't wait to meet the little guy..he and Georgia are only 4.5 months apart! FUN!!
Also, G went to her 4 month checkup today...she is 16.7 lbs in the 90th% and 26.6 in in the 97th%..."she's a big girl"..."I bet she never misses a meal"...We know & we love it!!!!!!!! In 2 months she has gained 3 lbs and grown 3 in..WOW!! She is such a happy girl and did great with her shots! Hopefully tonight won't be a nightmare..

So we have moved.. back to Texas, San Antonio to be exact.. and now our blog title, "life in listi, mississippi" doesn't make sense..
So I need YOUR help, YOUR creativity..
any suggestions on a new blog title??
Still a family of 4, 6 if you count the dogs!! Don't think that really matters, but you never know ;)
I am stumped, so I thought I would turn to ya'll and see what you got!!

home is where the heart is...

or where the stuff is..whichever?!?

So, we are getting settled in SA in a rent house. It has taken me back to my college days of old houses, hard wood floors, and sharing!
We get here on Sunday and the enclosed garage still has the old tenants things in it.. there is crap EVERYWHERE!! This girl has a baby, obviouslsy because there are swings, mats, highchairs, pack n play, and a crib, among tons of clothes and books and other odds and ends. You wonder what in the world happened to cause her to leave all this stuff..
I am ok with it because we have plenty of room and you can close off that area of the house and mainly because we are actively looking for a house right now!
A young girl shows up at the house today..wanting to know if her things were still there and said she was going to pick them up very soon.. I got her number to give to the landlord, so he could deal with her..she and her roommates owed over $3,000...So I call Daniel to tell him and give him the info..the landlord is going to pick it all up today and then deal with her..
Well, 3 hours later, I see her car drive up..then I see 2 cop cars drive up behind her!! GREAT!! I try to call Daniel..no answer, of course, and decide to bite the bullet and answer the door.. I so didn't want to get in the middle of this!!
She is bawling her little eyes out and tells me she has to get her son's birth certificate and etc... The lady cop just stares at me..I feel awful, but I didn't feel it was my place to let her in and take all that stuff....I say that.. the cop said "It's just a birth certificate"..great! So, eventually, I let her in after she continues to explain to me her story..I didn't have the landlord's # or I would have called him...
She gets her son's birth certificate and all the while cries and tells me her sad story of her mother's death and her father's illness and her roommates who left her.. I let her take a box of pictures. I really did feel bad for her, young and probably scared and without many options..
Hopefully, her and the landlord will get it figured out, but it makes you feel thankful for what you have and that you aren't dealing with issues like that!! So, eventhough this house isn't what I had dreamed of, it is becoming our "home" because of all of our personal belongings and our family living here! The girls are doing great and settling in really well!!
Did I mention how convenient we are to everything: Walmart, HEB, Lowes, and tons of places to eat.. also shopping.. it is nice to be in the land of the living and out of the country..hey, and no mice here so far!!! ;)
these towels were sent from my good friend, Amy, they have their names on them!! I love them!!

3 years, WHAT!?!

WHAT!?!
Today is mine and Daniel's 3rd anniversary. It has been a whirlwind to say the least and I can't imagine it any other way! That is, after all, one of the many reason I fell in love with him. Spontaneity!! It keeps me on my toes and anxious to see what comes next.. another baby, another job, another house?? Who knows?! Well, we were lucky enough to celebrate these past 3 years just last week (by ourselves)..where our new home, San Antonio, TEXAS, will be!! We got to go house shopping, eat a wonderful dinner at "our" restaurant, The Melting Pot, and go out with some friends for a few days, all the while our beatiful girls were being well cared for by grandparents!! LUCKY US!!
3 years ago today we were in a warmer place, Cancun, Mexico, celebrating, laughing (my) way through our vows and making memories with our closest friends and family. It was a blast and something different..(I am not so traditional)..and I hope to be able to visit our wedding spot again soon!
We are doing great and still love eachother and even more, but in a different way, as only marriage and children can do to people!! this is where we spent 90% of our time, seriously!

So cheers to 3 fulfilling years!!
