glimpse into the future..

a phone rings in Emma's room
Emma: "It's ok. That's just one of my cell phones, Mom!"
Mom: "Okay"..I guess she is planning on having 2 like her father?!

E: "but I want to watch t.v. (drawn out real long and whiny). Can I watch a movie?"
M: "You already watched 101 Dalmatians today. I think that is enough t.v."
E: "No it not!"

M: "Emma, why do you have lipstick in your bed? Where did you get if from?"
E: "I love you, Mom!"

E: "I need make-up for my lips. Georgia, (who was wanting some real bad) you don't get any because you are a baby girl!"

E: "I got my purse (said like POOSE) and my jewelry (showing me her anklet she put on). Now I am ready to go to the mall, Mom."

And finally, hopefully this is a very FAR glimpse into the future..

E: "I got a baby in my belly too. It is a girl not a boy. I not like boys. My belly is getting big like yours"(sticking her tummy out)!
M: "What if Mommy has a boy, like Daddy, in her tummy?"
E: "I not have a baby boy. I gonna have a baby sister!"

Won't she be heartbroken when she realizes she gets no choice in the girl/boy matter.

Fiesta Parade

E & G's school had a Fiesta Parade today. The rain held off so we were able to enjoy the little ones parading around, dancing, shaking maracas, & singing various songs.
The kids had so much fun and it was really cute to see Emma dancing & singing to the songs she had been learning.Parents were asked to decorate a vehicle for each child with streamers, flowers, etc. We chose Emma's baby stroller as her vehicle because I didn't want her to get stuck on her tricylce and not be able to steer it in with all the traffic around her! She was really excited to decorate it and loved adding every last feather, glitter sticker and flower. She even dressed up her baby doll. The kids got into groups with their classes and were led to sing and do motions to songs..They did "the Chicken Dance", "Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes", "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", & a few songs in Spanish! Emma was very into the motions, especially all the shimmies they did. I loved that she was willing to stay with her class and not be clingy to me. Her personality really shown through today.

a berry rainy week

We had a wonderful weekend..except for all the rain. After it starting on Monday, I was so over it by Saturday.
I have been having crazy nesting feelings, so pretty much every drawer, closet, cabinet in our house has been decluttered and cleaned out due to rainy days stuck inside. It feels good but now what am I supposed to do with my time at home?? I think I am going to try and organize all the pictures and make sure I have the girls baby books in order!
Got all my blood tests back and they were good. Just a bunch of pregnancy stuff, but it is always a relief to get good news from the doctor. The baby is moving and shaking now! It is making this pregnancy that much more fun and special. I am trying to really enjoy everything as this could very well be my last time to be pregnant and experience those first flutters and not to mention a little heart burn here and there!Friday, Daniel's dad & stepmom, Grandad & Grandma Jules came in to town to see the girls. We got to go out to dinner, watch Dumbo and read books. It was a nice diversion from being alone. Unfortunately, we woke up to pouring rain Saturday morning, so we just hung out at the house all day long..it was a really long day. We appreciated them coming to see the girls and keeping me company! It was really cute listening to Emma say Grandma Jules..she did it well, but in such a little girl voice.
By Sunday the sky was blue and the sun was shining!! My energy was renewed for sure considering Daniel has been out of town hunting in MS since Thursday morning. The girls and I had a quick breakfast and threw on some dresses and headed to try out another new church. I really liked this one, it has that "homey" feel and is also close to our house and where the girls attend MDO. So I may have to take Daniel back for another test drive. While I was praising the Lord, I received some texts about a fun outing for the day. The McLeans were inviting us to head to Fredricksburg to pick strawberries and have lunch. I was so excited. Not only are strawberries my favorite fruit, but it was a perfect day to spend outside and hang out with friends. Emma and Ainsley love to play together and Britton loves and dotes on Georgia so it was a win-win for all! Our "family" of 7 headed to town to eat some yummy food, then off to the fields we went. It was muddy and poor G got stuck in the row and then fell over into the mud. She was covered and then it all turned pink from her overeating of strawberries. They had a blast, though. We headed home and had dinner at our friends' house complete with strawberry icecream shakes!!
Only a few catastrophic things kept happening to all the kids, Georgia being a piggy bank with her mouth (had a huge slobbery mouthful of change), Emma & Britton colliding on the swings, a slight dog nip & fingers pinched in a door...fun times! The long week ended with a warm bath and a quick kiss goodnight!

Lauren & Blake's 3rd Birthday

We attended our friends' 3rd birthday party last weekend! Allison & I were pregnant at the same time and did water aerobics together along with getting pedicures and lunches and desserts. We also enjoyed movies and laying out before we had our babies!! Oh, the good ol' days!! Back to the party.. Her twins were born 3 weeks after Emma. It was so much fun with a carnival theme!!They had a huge bounce house, a clown who face-painted and made balloon animals. They also had popcorn, hotdogs, cupcakes & cotton candy..to name a few. The decorations were so cute and personalized. Georgia was drawn to the colorful gumballs and would sneak inside to get one anytime she could! We also got to see lots of friends and their cute kids! That is one of my favorite parts of going back home.After hanging out in CS for the party, we headed to Austin to a crawfish boil at my aunt and uncle's house. Emma and Georgia got to see their "cousins" Madeleine & Jackson. Emma was really interested in playing with them and loved Maddie (9 months) interacting with her! I didn't get any pictures unfortunately. Maddie will be a big sister about a month after we are due, so that is fun! Jackson (3 months) is just plain cute! His dad claims he will be an only child but I would be surprised!!
