She did it!!

Emma has taken her 1st steps!! It was so neat to watch and Daddy got to see it also, so I was really happy about that! She took 1, then fell, then she took 2, then fell, then 1 again.. and of course, fell!!
I am so proud of her and can't wait to have to chase her around the house because she is running on 2 feet and not crawling!!
We got some video of her trying but of course, no steps yet! Unfortunately, I saw myself in the video and let's just say.. it was not pretty.. I have to do something for myself... workout, put some makeup on, wear nicer clothes, or maybe a combo of all of those, and more... I really need to get my hair cut and highlighted.. that always makes me feel better!!
So I want to know if anyone knows of other workouts for the arms.. besides holding a baby and/or push-ups... I don't have access to a gym so it will need to be around the house stuff!!

I don't really have anything to blog about.. let's see.. it has been super cold here lately.. like 17 and so we are stuck inside for most of the days.. it is finally warming up this weekend so we are looking forward to being outdoors!

Daniel hit a deer with his car this morning.. didn't kill it, and it didn't mess the car up too bad.. just knocked out the headlight..

Emma is soooo close to walking.. she just stands there for a while and then will decide to move and flop forward.. but she is going wild with her walking toys! She can zoom all over the house! And she is so proud of herself when she does! I am hoping she will take her 1st steps by herself before her 10 month birthday next week! We'll see!!

Emma & Daddy reading.. she is really into books now and loves to empty her basket out and look at them by herself! She is pretty independent and will play by herself for a while!

Oh, and Ashton Hannah Dillard is here!! She was born yesterday around 2:30 and is healthy and doing great!! So are her mommy, Kristi, daddy, Justin, and s&b, Ally & Karson!! I can't wait to meet her!!

Sam, Emma & Juliette

We have had a fun visit with Sam & Juliette.. Daniel's parents! Emma loved seeing her grandparents and getting some quality time playing with them! We introduced them to Farkel.. a fun dice game we play.. and we celebrated the New Year with the annual sausage making and black-eyed peas for good luck!

I also got to hear some hilarious stories about Daniel's childhood!! The best one was that his mom used to have him wear this device to bed.. so that if he peed in his pants that it would shock him and wake him up to stop

The sad part was that he didn't remember this and was kindof sad about it! I am sure it didn't really hurt him, but it made me laugh! I had never heard of this, so maybe it was frowned upon and got recalled!

Emma has a new friend who was born on December 27th.... Kane Sebastian, 1st son of Ashley & Zack, and I can't wait for them to meet and become good friends! Also, Kristi Dillard is being induced on the 2nd with her 3rd baby.. 2nd girl, Ashton! We will be praying for her tomorrow during her labor that it will be speedy and painless :)
