Oh the places we go..

One of the perks of living in a big city, especially a kid-friendly one! We typically go to some kind of storytime once a week. They are great because they are free! The kids sing songs while playing instruments, listen to a puppet show, read some books, play with a parachute with fuzzy balls bouncing on it and roll the ball to say each child's name and then do an art project related to the theme of the week! It's fun and rarely are my children the wildest ones there!! That counts for something...always!
We also like to go to the Magik Theatre..they put on a play with real characters from a well-known children's book. The latest one we went to was "If you give a pig a party"the next one will be "Charlotte's Web". The kids love them and it's a fun day with friends!
It is also getting to be perfect weather for the zoo. We recently went on a weekend whim with Daddy. It's nice to have another set of hands..especially for this big guy! I can't wait to go back to see all the new babies that are born.

Also, in the summer the water area is so much fun and relaxing!! The girls will be perfect ages to enjoy it this year.
Our family attended a fun run to benefit families of Baptist employees who experience disaster, death, injury, etc.

We didn't make it the whole 3 miles, but opted for IHOP instead. (hey, it was cold and windy and sprinkling..cut us some slack!)
Springtime will only bring about more outtings and fun days!! I know our backyard will be one of those places we spend countless hours in the water, on the swings and driving around the Jeep!!
