Celebrating 5 years

We already had E's big birthday party with her friends in January before we moved from SA, but we still celebrated Emmaline's 5 years on her special day. We woke up and had her requested hot chocolate, pancakes with strawberries and cereal. Then we slowly gave her the rest of her gifts. Her big gift was a trampoline from us and my parents.
Also, we gave her a new bike basket, streamers and a bell. Georgia picked out a Hello Kitty 'cami' as E calls them and matching underwear.
She also requested a picture of herself in a pretty frame! HA!
I made her strawberry (homemade I might add!) cupcakes - Hello Kitty, of course and chocolate, strawberry and vanilla icecream! I tried real hard on these cupcakes..and all that mattered was when E said, "they are perfect Mom, I love them!"
For dinner, she wanted mini pizzas that the kids make themselves..so we delivered - and I don't mean 'delivered' as in delivery pizza). Daniel had handmade dough and sauce and the kids placed on their own butter, cheese, sauce and pepperonis..yummy!
We invited over some new friends and the girls had a blast playing with Cash and Cage. They jumped on the trampoline with lots of balloons covering it, decorated pizzas, played dress-up and doll house, Candyland and watched Shrek! They were all cuddled on the couch by the end of the night and the girls were calling the youngest "Cageman" like they do for Hayes and Gauge.
They were so sweet and brought her a present of beach toys! She was thrilled of course! Daniel and I had fun with their parents and got to tell old Spring Break stories and enjoy adult time! It was a fun day!
The next morning Grandma Jules and Granddad Sam took us out for brunch and gave Emmaline some fun beach toys! Emmaline got a surf board, some velcro catching toys and a really cute beach outfit. She also got 5 balloons which made her year! It was a long and fun celebration for my sweet 5 year old girl! Now back to the real world of no gifts everyday!
